Liga Mexicana Finals

Well after this weekend it has come down to two teams for the FINAL... Monterey vs Cruz Azul for the Liga Mexicana Championship... The first game will be played this weekend December 10th in Monterey... It will be a seried of two games... The first game will be this weekend as I had mention and the other next weekend at Cruz Azuls house... My predictions are that Monterey will win the first game at their house I will go with a 2-1... Then they will head out to Cruz Azul where they will play and Cruz Azul will win 3-2... Which means that globally they will be tied and will go to overtime and then penalties... Where Monterey will become the new Champions... But those are just my predictions... Monterey has been playing really well and Cruz Azul has gotten very lucky... I think that Cruz Azul's luck will run out and be forced to try however, it will be too late... Both teams carry good players and it will be a close game that could go both way but if it was up to me I would want Monterey to win and take this seasons Championship...

Real Madrid vs. Marseille

Well... it finally happen after a couple of bad games and rumors about the team being divided outside the field... Real Madrid has meet up to its expectations against Marseille... I was really excited to see this game and at the same time a bit nervous... Specially for Ronaldo who missed a penalty last week against Almeria... which by the way he didnt kick the penalty like he normally does this time he kicked it too close to the golie... however, He did manage to score a goal and Real Madrid did win with a 4 - 2... But today's game against Marseille which was played in France at 11:00 am was by far the best... Cristiano's goal was a breath of fresh air... The way he kicked the free kick into the net was out of this world... The way the ball curves in the air is just amazing... which reminds me that the Botin de Oro is coming up (given to the best player of the year) and Cristiano along with Messi, and Kaka are nominated... But in my opinion I think Cristiano Ronaldo has proven to be the best player however, Messi and Kaka have a lot under their belts that will definetly make it hard for Cristiano Ronaldo to obtain the botin... The next game for Real Madrid will be December 12, 2009 against Valencia for the Ligilla... Until then...

Balon de Oro...

Okay so I was really... excited to find out who was going to be the winner of the Balon de Oro... the nominees came down to Cristiano Ronado and Lionel Messi and I was crossing my fingers as they were going to announce it... Then they said the Balon de Oro goes to... Lionel Messi... What is going on!!! Can someone please tell the FIFA that they have made a huge mistake and that they need to go back and check their records on goals, assistants, and championships. It is absurd that The 2009 Balon de Oro was given to Lionel Messi, if you ask me Cristiano Ronaldo deserved it and should have gotten it. Ronaldo the Madrid super-star won the Galardon from the France Footbal magazine that is given each year to the best player with 446 vote crushed Lionel Messi whom only received 281 votes from the public. The balon de Oro is given to the best player, the player that has achieved more than everyone else, the player that has gone beyond the expectations, the player that has won everything, So why didn't Cristiano Ronaldo receive the balon de Oro??? Prior to Real Madrid Ronaldo won la Liga de Campeones de Europa and the Premie League with Manchester United and Combined 42 goals. Messi did not come close to these statistics so what are they basing it on? well the only thing I can think of is la Seleccion. Ronaldo didn't do so well with Portugal where Messi won a goal medal in the olympics with Argentina. Although he won a medal his quality in the field was poor, Messi hasnt been the same player and him winning that goal medal was a team accomplishment where as Ronaldo he took his team to the Champions and stood up to his expectations. It doesn't make sense to me why they would give Messi the Balon de Oro Come on people look at the number and look at the game. Well theres always next year, I feel that Cristiano has grown so much and will keep growing where as Messi he has just stopped and soon will find himself like Ronaldiho...

Real Madrid vs. Barcelona

A CASE OF BAD LUCK at Camp Nou... Real Madrid lost the Classico and Barcelona came up victories with a 1-0 goal from Ibrahimovic... The Spanish Giants climbed all the way to the top and took over La Liga by two points from Real Madrid... So what went wrong??? Well lets Analyse things... Last season the clasico was played and Real Madrid was crushed with a 6-0... Barcelona had no compassion... But this season Real Madrid was determined to change things and brought on new faces... two of the most important faces to come aboard to Real was Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka... Who were the two main star for Real Madrid on todays classico... However, the two struggled to make an impact... Ronaldo who was returning after two months from and injuring from his ankle wasn't able to deliver and Barcelona showed that they were superb... Kaka and Ronaldo both played a good game... they showed a different side of soccer making it easier for the eye... They both delivering an amazing game leaving everybody in ahhh with the tricks and plays they made... Kaka constantly gave Cristiano Ronaldo several balls that should have hit the net. His shoots were just not placed right and were shoot too close to the keeper Victor Valdes, who time after time stopped the ball. Ronaldo's 35-yard free kick was block by Barca's wall... and did not come close to the goal... Soon after that in the 66th minute Ronaldo was substituded by Karim Benzema... Real Madrid simply faded from the action, they were no longer attacking but defending from another potential goal... Nou Camp home of Barcelona cheered and smile as the referee blew the whistle and ended the game... Barca once again took the Victory in the Classico... The long await was finally over and us Madrid fans walked away with our heads down... Hoping that in the next Classico theres a happy ending...

Galaxy was so Close....

Last Night the MLS Cup Final was played Galaxy vs. Real Salt Lake... it was truly a a nail biting game... The game ended in a tie (1-1) leading to penalties where Galaxy lost 4 - 5 making Real Salt Lake the new MLS Champions... Well what can I say except that I kinda knew this would happen after Galaxy began to fall back and defend instead of attacking... Once Galaxy was in the lead they decided to fall back and guard the ball... That technique didn't work out so well because Real Salt Lake kept pushing and pushing forward until they tied the game... The penalties were killers... it was so hard to watch... David Beckham was the first to go and of course he didn't disappoint... however, Donovan was a whole another story... And well the rest is history... It really didn't matter that Galaxy was the better and favorite team at the end the only thing that counts are the goals that go in the net... And well Galaxy just couldn't bring home the Cup... But good news after the game... David Beckham said that he plans on staying another season... thats good news... for all Galaxy Fans...

Homeless Youth Awareness...

Updates on Cristiano Ronaldo... and Real Madrid...

Well things haven't been so great for Real Madrid... After Cristiano Ronaldo suffered an injury in his ankle Real Madrid has been struggling to get back on its feet. The world's most expensive player has missed Madrid's last 13 matches and Portugal's World Cup play-offs. However, Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be back next week... It is also said by the official Real Madrid website that Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing against Barcelona... The game we have all... well maybe not all... maybe just us super Madrid and Barcelona fans have been waiting for... the day we put on our jerseys and cheer for our team... Crossing our fingers that our team wins... to later rub it on the opponents face.. The day we cheer out loud and sing for our team... The day we call out off from work, miss school or wake up at 2 in the morning to see the game... A ll Madrid fans including myself truly hope that Cristiano Ronaldo will be ready by next week to begin playing. Real Madrid will be playing the weekend of the 22nd of November against Racing Santander, definitely a great game but if Cristiano Ronaldo is not back it could end up bad. Real Madrid depends a lot on the worlds best player but why wouldnt they... if he has shown that he can deliver a winning game pretty much all the time. I am a huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan... and before Cristiano Ronaldo I was a Madrid fan, never really a Manchester but I did follow because of Cristiano Ronaldo and now that Cristiano Ronaldo plays for Real Madrid it is amazing, but now that he is injured and that Madrid is losing it is heart breaking... However, now that the news are out and Cristiano Ronaldo will be returning there is hope for all Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo fans. I cant wait for the Clasico Real Madrid vs. Barcelona... The game that everyone waits is only getting closer and closer... Now I just hope that Cristiano Ronaldo is 100 percent ready to go for that game... and that we smash... Barcelona... well until then

Galaxy The New Western Conference Champion

Galaxy is the *NEW* Western Conference Champion and Real Salt Lake is the New Eastern Conference Champion of the Major League Soccer. On The 21st of November Galaxy will play against Real Salt Lake in Seattle for the Major League Championship. Both teams are in great shape but I must say that I think that Galaxy will win. The way they have been playing lately has shown that Galaxy is no longer an individual team but a team compose of 11 players in the field. However, we can not under estimate Real Salt Lake after the great match they played against Chicago Fire defeating the in a close game that went onto penalties winning 5-4. The game will be very close, I will most likely be biting my nails and crossing my fingers for Galaxy to score the first and final goal making them the New MLS Champions. With David Beckham playing in the mid and Donovan playing forward we should have no problems bring the Victory back to L.A...

Donovan Safes the Day...

Chivas USA vs. Galaxy semi-finals were played last night and what a game. In the 69th minute the best play of the game happen when David Beckham gave an incredible pass using only 3 toes... The pass was perfect right to Landon Donovan's feet who then passed it to Magie and was fouled by Chivas USA defender. The referee called a penalty kick that was taken by non-other than Landon Donovan, and in it went... Goooalllllll!!!!! changing the score to 0 - 1 Galaxy... Galaxy is in the Finals and will be playing against Houston Dynamite this Friday for the Western Conference Championship. Galaxy has a really good chances of winning if they keep playing the way they have been. It is amazing to see how well David Beckham is playing despite the bad press and the bad welcoming he has had these past few months, he has definitely picked up his game. His soccer skills remind me of the old Beckham the one that everyone wanted to see... it's sad that he will be leaving and heading back to AC Milan. If you had asked me three months ago what I thought about Beckham leaving I probably would have said it was a good idea, but now that he is playing so well it will be sad to see him go... But lets not get to far ahead of ourselves... there is still a game pending this friday against Huston Dynamite...

Bad Sportsmanship...

Well it happen again... Once again someone has take an aggressive but clean sport and made it aggressively ugly. Going in hard is part of the game, "Play Hard or Go Home" is often said when playing a physical sport. But there's a fine line between physical and dirty, and well in this case I have to go with that was just plain dirty. That kind of physical contact can lead to an altercation which is why they have suspended her for the whole season and well forever from the game. She went from defending the ball to... well I'm actuallly not sure what she was defending??? But just imagine playing against her... wow... I'm sure after the world has seen her play... No one would want to play against her... I'm also bit surprise that the opponent didn't respond to the hair pulling, however, it was a good thing she didn't, because by falling on the ground she was able to make things a bit more dramatic and get her point across...

Cristiano Ronaldo the *NEW* Underwear Model for Armani...

Portuguese international soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo and Hollywood actress Megan Fox replace David and Victoria Beckham as new faces of Emporio Armani Underwear. Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Megan Fox will be modeling the new spring and summer 2010 Armani underwear and jeans collection for a worldwide print and billboard campaign. But No word yet that these two mega stars will be teaming up for any shoots together like the ones that were seen by David and Victoria Beckham. Armani has sign separate contracts for both Fox and Ronaldo accommodating their schedule. The campaign will begin shooting in January. This is GREAT!!!! Once again we will be able to see Ronaldo without a shirt... Ever since the FIFA began to punish soccer players with a yellow card, for taking their jerseys off to celebrate a goal. We haven't seen much of Cristiano Ronaldo's six pack. But starting the New Year 2010 we will be able to see him in magazines and billboards showing off his six pack... Can it get any better... I think not...

Live Soccer Game

61 degrees outside and the whistle blows... I am currently sitting at Baset park located in La Puente watching my brother play soccer. It is amazing to see how many people come out and support the soccer players. the score is 0 - 0 but its only a matter of time before the ball hits the net.

Finally after 35 minutes into the game the first goal has gone in. After so much struggle from my brother's team to get the 1-0. It's cold outside and the game is very intense and exciting, everybody seems to be enjoying themselves, and as one side cheers the other side walks back to the half-line with their heads down.

Game over... Final score 1-0 and my brother's team wins...

thats 3 points

Real Madrid vs. Villareal

What a Game... Nonetheless... it was simply Brilliant... Cristiano Ronaldo The most expensive player in soccer's history; 80 million Euros, ($132 million dollars). Scored the first goal for Real Madrid within minutes, picture this; the referee blows the whistle to initiate the game, a minute and 47 seconds go by and GOOOOALLLLL!!!! from Cristiano Ronaldo (CR9) not even two minutes have pass by and Real Madrid is up... 1 - 0

Cristiano Ronaldo can now write his name down in the Real Madrid record book, he is now the first Real Madrid player to score four goals in four games. This is the type of work that got him el Balon de Oro,and I wouldn't be surprise if he got it again this season.

However, Ronaldo wasn't the only player to score against Villareal, Kaka scored midway through the second half. Kaka takes
the penalty, launching the ball at the right side of the net and GOOOALLLL... the score is now 2-0.

Villareal was no match for Real Madrid and with the way things are going the only team that looks like they might have a chance against Real Madrid in the Champions is Barcelona. Its going to be Ronaldo vs. Ibrahimovic two players with high ambition to place the ball in the nets, two players that share many similarities such as there both the highest paid soccer players, they both play for the biggest teams that are the most demanding and ambitious clubs recognized anywhere in the planet, they both are the top seller of jersey for their clubs. The similarities go on and on but in Nov. only one will come out a winner, in the mean time...

Real Madrid vs. Zurich

What A Game!!! Real Madrid has shown to be more than just a star team. Cristiano Ronaldo is proving to be worthy of those 130 million dollars.

The first goal by Cristiano Ronaldo initiated the beginning of what would be come a great game. What a kick, Cristiano Ronaldo has been known since Manchester United to deliver great direct kicks into the net. As Zurich battled to get back in the game, Real Madrid made sure that they stayed on top. Guti finalized the game with and *AMAZING* goal... Although Cristiano Ronaldo was open and Guti could have set him up for the goal. Guti made a Genius move and launch the ball right above the goalies head and set the score 5-2.

This for sure wasn't Zurich goalie Johnny Leoni best game. Specially after that awful mistake that he did on the fourth goal. His reaction was simply a beginners goalie reaction. The logical thing to do was punch the ball out or simply catch it, Zurich might just need a new goalie. However, not all the heat falls under Zurich goalie, Where was the coach in all this? Why couldn't the coach substitute the goalie? What a bad call from the coach, clearly Johnny Leoni (goalie) coast the team (Zurich) a couple of goals.

Real Madrid, who has started this season and the Champions League very well, winning against La Coruña 3-2, Espayol 3-0, and now against Zurich 5-2. There next game will be against Zerex this Sunday September 20 and should be a good one. The game that everybody awaits is Barcelona vs. Real Madrid, two teams that hold some of the best soccer sensations of this time.

WORLD CUP 2010 Groups and Standings

The top AFC, CAF, Concacaf, Conmebol, OFC, and UEFA teams of every table qualify for the FIFA World Cup™. The 4th or 5th placed team enters a Home-and-Away Playoff with the 3rd or 4th placed team to try to qualify...

Every year the World-Cup is filled with excitement; everybody looks forward to the common rivalry's between the best teams that hold the best player in the world. However, this year it might be a bit different if Portugal, Argentina, France, and Uruguay don't qualify. How I ask myself... Is it possible for the teams with the best players in the world not to qualify??? Who's not doing there job right? Is it the players? Or the coach? Or maybe it's both?

Messi the best player in the world, can not lead Argentina to victory and is border-line of not qualifying. Cristiano Ronaldo 2008 best player struggles to lead Portugal into the World Cup. What is missing from these great teams and great players?

Nonetheless, the excitement for the 2010 World Cup is still there, seeing this commercial for the 2010 World Cup makes one wonder if the top teams don't make it, will the underdogs rise? Although, theres one team that never can be counted out Brazil...

Puebla vs. Chivas (Jornada 7)

With only seconds left in the clock and the score 2-1 the ref calls a direct kick in favor of las Chivas and Goooal... Im not sure what game the ref was watching, but it must not have been Puebla vs. Chivas. Which is why I give the ref a red card, horrible calls, marking fouls that never existed, costing Puebla the game.

Going into the Jornada 7, Puebla is the only team unbeaten, while Chivas in the other hand has only won one game. Within the first seven minutes of the game defender Alejandro Acosta scores the opening goal and gives Puebla the lead 1-0, soon after Chivas responds back as Omar Bravo changes the score to 1-1. The refs calls were obscured and ridiculous, making it impossible for Puebla. Later on in the first half Borgeti scores for Puebla and the score is now 2-1.

In the second half the ref calls a foul against Puebla right outside the goalies box. What was he thinking??? there was NO contact what so ever, that foul never existed. What kind of ref makes a call like that, who does that??? really??? However, Chivas takes the direct kick the balls stumbles as Pueblas goalie Villalpando tries to take it out, the ball lands in Mario Luna Saucedo's feet, Saucedo kicks it in and Goal.

Puebla was seconds away from taking home those 3 points, but thanks to the refs lousy calls Puebla takes home One point The altercations after the game are due the refs bad judgement of what he considers a foul or not. The game ended with a very sour 2-2

Argentina vs. Brazil

This weekend one of the most anticipated games for the World Cup 2010 qualifications will be played in Argentina. This Saturday September 5th Argentina vs. Brazil, that is Maradona vs. Dunga, Lionel Messi vs. Robihno, Maxi Rodriguez vs. kaka, Zanetti vs. Lucio, the list of great players goes on and on. This time around the pressure falls on Argentina, they are in desperate need of those 3 points to qualify for South Africa 2010 World Cup. Falling in 4th place with 22points Argentina must win to gain 3 points and raise above Paraguay who holds 24 points, and Chile with 26 points.

However, Brazil falls in the complete opposite situation that Argentina is in. Brazil leads the tables with 27 points. The game is expected to be nothing less than breathtaking. Having both Messi and Kaka play in the same field and against each other, it's going to be a day full of fireworks.
